YMMWINA MUSIC VIDEO
Grimes decided to share green screen footage and all audio stems from her song "You'll Miss Me When I'm Not Around" and invited people to make a music video. As a relatively fresh motion designer I haven’t experimented a lot with green screens and keying, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to have some fun while learning a new skill.
THE PROCESS
While Grimes often goes for a 90's grunge fashion and overall style for her music videos, I felt like the outfit and props she used for this video called for a softer approach. I decided to let Grimes be the main focus and keep the background and other elements simple. I went for a primarily analogous colour palette complimented by a pop of yellow.
